Bush Crimes Commission
Oct 21st and 22nd, 2005 in New York City.
The commission aims to both frame and fuel a society-wide discussion of whether, or not, the administration of George W. Bush is guilty of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other high crimes. It will do this by bringing the truth to light, and by applying exacting standards, to determine if unpardonable crimes have been committed.
This discussion, in these terms, is both sorely needed and increasingly possible now because of actual events and the rising public anger at the Bush administration. With a deep sense of responsibility to the people of the world, we have to seize this moment -- a time to change how people see and think about the Bush administration and its actions.
The Commission will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be held on October 21 and 22. The second session will be held within the next few months.
NJ Civil Rights Defense Committee has been involved in preparing the indictment and organizing the evidence. Barbara Olshansky, Center for Constitutional Rights and coordinator of Guantanamo detainee defense will act as a prosecutor.

Fire the Boss!
Meet with members of Argentinian Recuperated Factory Workers and Unemployed Worker Movements
Thursday, November 3rd at 6:30 pm at Rutgers-New Brunswick
Workers from Argentina and North America will share their experiences on the shop floor,
in their communities, and in the streets.
We hope to create a space where we can learn from each others struggles, find common ground,
and forge strategies for building international solidarity.
In 2001, Argentina’s economy collapsed. Factories began closing, foreign banks began pulling their money out of the country leaving the poor of the country in shambles. But the workers in Argentina didn’t take this laying down. Instead they started to organize.
Workers took control over their factories, seized the machines and once again started to produce, without the boss. The unemployed movements continued to provide for the unmet needs of their communities, creating bakeries, small cooperatives, and community gardens to provide food and jobs.
The meeting will be in Spanish with English translation.
Graduate Student Lounge right next to Au Bon Pain in the Student Center on College Avenue
Speakers:
Carlos Alberto Barra from the Movimiento de Trabajadores Desocupados (MTD- Unemployed Worker Movement) Allen, Rio Negro, South Argentina.
Noelia Lecerfs from Hotel Bauen
Elsa Montero from the Clinica Fenix (x-IMECC)
Eulalia Alicia Perez from the CUC (United Cooperative of Shoe-Makers) Ex-Adidas Factory
